Mary Zammit 92, of Lincoln Park passed away peacefully on 2/13/15. Visiting will be on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park. A mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Thursday at 10AM at St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln Park. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she emigrated at the age of 10 with her parents John and Sara Teuma along with her four siblings to their homeland of Malta. Mary met her only love, Gaetano Zammit and married in Malta in April 1989. In 1953 Mary and her husband returned to The United States where she raised her seven children. Mary was the matriarch of the family with a passion for cooking and bringing her family together with love and laughter. Her traditions will carry on with each family member, particularly on holidays or any Sunday dinner. Mary's true enjoyment came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. She would love to sing Maltese nursery rhymes to the babies and make them laugh. Her laughter was infectious and will be deeply missed by all. She was the loving wife of over 50 years of the late Gaetano Zammit (1989). Devoted mother of Grace (William) Meerholz of Pompton Plains, Charles (Irene) Zammit of Montville, Joseph (Linda) Zammit of Lincoln Park, Miriam (Russ) Brousseu of Lincoln Park, Francis (Nick) Ismajlowski of Lincoln Park, John (Laura) Zammit of Boonton and the late Emmanuel Zammit (2003). Mother- in- law of Helen Zammit of Montville. Nana of Tina, Wayne, Guy, Valerie, Dean, Renee, Michele, Michael, Joseph, Maryellen, Traci, Gina, Jayson, Andrew, Brooke and Whitney. Great Grandmother of Melissa, Michele, Thomas, Jared, Rachel, Lainie, Trevor, Abigail, Samantha, Nicholas, Anthony, Juliana, Alexa, RJ, Anthony, Derek, Justin and Gia. To our dear mom; our tears, laughter, and beautiful thoughts and memories of you will always be with us. In lieu of flowers donations to The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O.
