Obituary of Marianne Broderick

Please share a memory of Marianne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marianne Rita Dudley Broderick, longtime resident of Lincoln Park, passed away on October 6, 2023 at age 82. Marianne, known as Mickey, was born in Passaic to Emily and Frank Dudley. Mickey worked for IBM as a young woman and later worked as a teacher's assistant at St. Philip's School where she was much loved as Mrs. B. Ultimately though, her favorite position was taking care of her 4 daughters and her 13 grandchildren. Mickey was also very involved in her hometown of Lincoln Park throughout the years. She truly enjoyed being a member of many organizations, including the PTO, the Friends of the Library, Legion Post 279 Auxiliary, and the Girl Scouts.

Mickey was an extremely proud Navy wife, a devoted mother, a doting grandmother and a wonderful friend to everyone she met. She was married to the love of her life, Mike, for 59 years. Her absolute pride and joy was her family!

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Christine Daly and her husband Michael, Suzanne Iapoce and her husband Michael, Barbara Doumanis and her husband Paul, and Colleen Wis and her husband, Ron; her "sister" Ginny Wentworth, her sister-in-law Judith Broderick and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was lovingly known as Manny and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Ronny, Kevin, Thomas, Melissa, PJ, Connor, Colleen, Kieran, Michael, Emily, Jillian, and Grace.

She was predeceased by her husband and best friend Mike, her parents, her sister Barbara and her grandson Kyle Patrick.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 9, 2023 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park. A Celebration of Life for Mickey will follow at American Legion Post 279, 133 Main Street, Lincoln Park. In lieu of flowers, we would truly appreciate memorial contributions made to any charity that supports children.
