Obituary of Robert T. Magill

Robert T. Magill, 87 of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. He was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Arts High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS O'Hare, the USS Stoddard and the USS Fessenden. He would still attend reunions for all 3 ships. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lincoln Park where he was a member of the John F. Kennedy Knights of Columbus Council No. 5486. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 279, The Tin Can Sailors, the Lincoln Park Board of Health and a Scout Master for Troop No. 76. His biggest accomplishment was that 8 of his troop members all received the rank of Eagle Scout at the same time. He was a gifted craftsman with stained glass, wood carving and wood turning and won many awards for his work. He started the Lincoln Park Underwater Recovery Unit. Beloved husband of the late Doris Magill (nee Mulligan). Devoted father of Robert and his wife Nancy, Commander Glenn and his wife Andrea and Susan Weigel and her husband Gary. Loving grandfather of Courtney and Sean Magill. Funeral from Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph's R.C.
