Laura Rocha Obituary

Laura Rocha (née Hatfield), 100, of Towaco, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026.


Born in Eufaula, Alabama, Laura moved to Towaco in 1961, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Laura worked as a Medical Technician and later as a Nursery School Teacher. She was a devoted and active member of Montville United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served on numerous committees and ministries and taught Sunday School for many years.


Laura was also a member of the Montville Seniors and the Montville Woman’s Club. She enjoyed bowling at Boonton Lanes for many years and found great joy in gardening. She also loved birdwatching, watching football, and vacationing at the Jersey Shore with her family. Above all, Laura loved God, her family, and her church.


She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Rocha. Devoted mother of Emily M. Stone and her husband, Christopher; Deborah Ann Rocha and her husband, Cesar; Robert J. Rocha; and Richard H. Rocha and his wife, Kathleen; and the late Amy L. Rocha. Dear sister of the late Ruby Reaves Collier Hatfield, John Hatfield, and Marvin Hatfield. Loving grandmother of Rosei, Nicole, Justin, Georgie, Nathan, and Richard.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Montville United Methodist Church, 29 White Hall Road, Towaco, New Jersey. Please meet directly at the church.


Interment will follow at Montville United Methodist Cemetery.


Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, New Jersey.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Montville United Methodist Church.
