Michael J. Proudfoot Sr., age 72, of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on April 28, 2026.

Born on October 7, 1953, in Manhattan, New York, Michael was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He worked for the United States Post Office for over 20 years, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. After retiring, he enjoyed spending his well-earned free time with his grandchildren, cherishing family gatherings and the simple pleasures of life.

Michael is survived by his loving children, Sherrie DePuy, Stephanie TerWaarbeek, Michael Proudfoot Jr., and Nicholas Proudfoot. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dennis Proudfoot. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Ciccarelli, and was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Frank Proudfoot.

Michael’s memory lives on through his thirteen grandchildren: Brianna Venable; Cassidy, Noah, Tyler, and Emily DePuy; Lacey and Greyson TerWaarbeek; Austin, Skye, Elijah, and Jackson Proudfoot; and Max and Winn Proudfoot. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial gathering to honor Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035.
