Everett B. Vreeland Jr., "Dick", was born in Morristown NJ on September 8, 1931 and passed away in Jacksonville, Florida, on March 21, 2026 at the age of 94. 

Everett was the son of Everett B. Vreeland and Carolyn Doremus, both of Towaco. He graduated from Bordentown Military Institute in 1949, Brown University in 1953, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and received his LLB and JD degrees from Boston University School of Law in 1958. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was an instructor with The Signal School, Fort Monmouth, NJ.

Everett lived in Montville, the town he called home for his entire life. He attended the Towaco School and grew up on the family homestead Bonnie View Farms.

He served on the Montville Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Energy Deregulation Committee and the Economic Development Committee. 

Everett was the President and owner of The Vreeland Agency (Real Estate, Travel and Insurance). He made a lifetime of memories traveling the world with his wife Barbara.  

An avid hobbyist, he built and flew over 500 radio controlled model airplanes that he had flown since he was a child. Everett was a member of local model clubs, Boonton Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow and SKAL of NJ. He was a lifetime member of the Jacksonville Chapel and Lake Valhalla Club. He enjoyed playing softball and golfing and pole vaulting while in college.

Everett is predeceased by the love of his life, Barbara Frostholm Vreeland whom he was married to for 66 years. He is survived by his three children Susan Fischetti (Michael), Sally Novak and Peter Vreeland (Elizabeth) as well as two sisters Sarah and Judy, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ, on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am followed by a funeral service at 11:30.
