It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Green (nee Leone), 82, of Wayne, NJ who left this world on February 12, 2026.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Green and her husband, Bob Kitchell of Lincoln Park, NJ, two grandchildren, Samantha and Robert and two stepchildren Lawrence and his husband,  Richard Lenert and Warren Green.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Green, and her parents, Thomas and Sophie Leone. 

Josephine radiated warmth and kindness with her smile. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, her warm, caring nature and her huge heart. She was guided by her faith to live a life inspired by love and patience. Her welcoming presence made everyone feel special and she leaves an indelible mark on our hearts. She was a constant and steady presence and brought joy to everyone.

As a mother and grandmother, Josephine was our biggest cheerleader, always happy and proud of our accomplishments. Her love was fierce, steady and unconditional, the kind of love that guides you, protects you and stays with you forever.

Josephine was a home-body. She never really wanted or needed much to make her happy, she was content with a good book and spending time with her family, which was the most important thing in her life. Her life was given meaning through caring for her family and friends.

Josephine was an unforgettable soul with a heart of gold and she will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Visiting will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 52 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ.
