Leonard Basilio, 95, of Lincoln Park, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was born in Paterson, NJ, and had been a proud resident of Lincoln Park since 1972.

Leonard was a dedicated shop teacher, instructing students in House Wiring at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, NJ for over 20 years before retiring in 1992. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Lincoln Park.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Leonard served his country with honor. He was a former member of American Legion Post No. 279 in Lincoln Park. An avid golfer, he belonged to The Knoll Golf Course, Packanack Lake Golf Club, and the Passaic County Golf Course. He was a Master Clubsmith and a proud multiple-time winner of the Morris County Super Senior Championship.

Leonard was the beloved husband of Diane Mooney and the late Freda Mae Basilio. He was the devoted father of Toni C. Basilio and Diane Basilio Umstead and her husband Ron. He was the loving stepfather of Debbie Duarte and her husband Steve, Ryan Mooney, and Sean Mooney and his wife Jennifer. He is also survived by his cherished step-grandchildren, Dylan and Jessica Mooney.

Funeral will be held from Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 9 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park, NJ, at 10 AM. Visiting will be on Friday from 3–7 PM.
