Nicolette Bastante (nee Grifone), 87, of Woodland Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025.

Born on July 22, 1938, in Poughkeepsie, NY, Nicolette devoted her life to faith, family, and service to others. A proud educator with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, she spent her career as a dedicated school teacher, shaping the minds and hearts of countless students.

Nicolette was known by all who loved her as one of the most caring and selfless people imaginable. She gave generously of herself to everyone around her, never seeking anything in return. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering—second only to her love and devotion to God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Pierina, and her daughter, Joanne. She is survived by her husband Joseph, her sons, Carmen and Joseph; grandchildren, Vanessa, Alissa, Joseph, Sarah, and John Joseph; great-grandchild, Hailey; brothers, Michael and Martin. and family through her children’s marriages, Ginny and Kim.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3-7 pm at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10 AM at St. James of the Marches R. C. Church , 32 St. James Place, Totowa, NJ. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.

Her life will forever stand as a testimony of true Christian love toward others and faith in God. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
