Mariella Sofia Vargas, 46, of Pompton Plains, NJ passed away on Wednesday,May 28, 2025.  She was born in Lima, Peru and came to the United States in 1996 settling in Paterson, NJ.  She lived in Elmwood Park, NJ and Fair Lawn, NJ before settling in Pompton Plains in 2021.  She was an Export Specialist for Schuman Cheese in Fairfield, NJ.  She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Pompton Plains.  Beloved wife of Eribe Vargas. Devoted mother of Camilla Sofia Vargas and Melissa Sofia Vargas.  Loving daughter of Juan Manuel and Esther Briceno.  Dear sister of Juan Carlos Chavez.  Visiting on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ fromj 5-9 PM.  Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C.
