With hearts full of love and gratitude, we mourn the passing of Teresa Cassidy (nee Larkin), a remarkable woman of unwavering faith and boundless love, who passed away peacefully in Denville, NJ, on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 98.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Teresa embraced her life in Lincoln Park since 1956, creating a warm and loving home. As a devoted homemaker, her focus was always on nurturing her family. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, evident in her active participation as a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Lincoln Park.

She was a loving grandmother to Kathleen Swertner, Alice and Mary Catherine Buesing, Kayley Mayer, E.J. Cassidy, Daniel Cassidy, Grace Caputo, Rose Rudd, Frank Cassidy, Micaela Cassidy, and Cassidy Lazariuk, and a proud great-grandmother to six.
Teresa will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kind and compassionate heart, and the extraordinary patience she extended to everyone she knew. Her home was a haven of laughter, love, and unwavering faith, where everyone felt safe, valued, and deeply loved. Her wisdom was often conveyed not through lengthy words, but through her comforting presence, her helping hands, and a heart that was always open and giving.
Her deep Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life, inspiring her to live with grace, humility, and profound devotion. She prayed tirelessly for her family and the world, and her unwavering belief in God's goodness served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Teresa leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, resilience, and faith that will continue to shape the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Claire Storzinger, Marie and William Larkin. Her memory will be held dear by her surviving and deeply grateful family.
