Obituary of William T. Hackett, Jr.

William T. Hackett, Jr., 89, of Lincoln Park, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.He was born in Medford, MA, William lived in Melrose, MA, Fairfield, NJ, and Lyndhurst, NJ, before settling in Lincoln Park in 1978. Before his retirement, he was the owner of North Jersey Real Estate, LLC in Lincoln Park. He also served honorably in the United States Army. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, William was a man of faith, family, and dedication.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Rosalia, devoted father of William Hackett, and Kristen Campbell and her husband Richard. Stepfather of Vincent Rosalia and wife Yvonne, and Laura Schider. He was the dear brother of Anne Hackett and was predeceased by his sister Kathryn and brother James Hackett. William was a cherished grandfather to Alissa, Michael, Lauren, Emily, Elizabeth, Liam, and Caroline. He loved spending time at his grandchildren’s activities, attending Alissa’s dance recitals, Michael’s wrestling matches, Lauren’s softball games, Liam’s baseball games, Caroline’s soccer games,  Lizzie’s soccer games, and Emily’s acting performances. His greatest joy was supporting them in all their endeavors. He is also survived by his nephew, James Hackett.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ, from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park, NJ, on Saturday at 10 AM. Cremation will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The March of Dimes or the Epilepsy Foundation, organizations close to Bill’s heart. Donations can be made online at March of Dimes or Epilepsy Foundation
