Adam Joseph Colaizzi Obituary

Adam Joseph Colaizzi, 57, of Lincoln Park, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Adam lived in Pequannock, NJ, before settling in Lincoln Park in 1997.

Adam worked for MetLife, Bed Bath and Beyond and most recently for Hallmark. He was an active part of the community. "Coach Adam" as he was often called, loved coaching soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball in Lincoln Park. He also previously led the soccer and basketball programs for the Pequannock Department of Parks and Recreation. Adam was honored as "Citizen of the Year” in Lincoln Park and served as president of the PTO. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church where he was an usher. He was a diehard sports fan supporting the Steelers, Pirates, Nets, Devils and Gotham FC. He could often be heard and seen (wearing neon green) on the sidelines watching the games of his former players. He enjoyed camping with his family throughout the U.S. and visiting a new location every year. He always had a random fun fact to share.

Adam is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna Colaizzi (née Petrow); his devoted children, Cassandra and Alex Colaizzi; his loving parents, Anthony and Kathy Colaizzi; and his dear sisters, Denice Zahner and Dana Crane. He will also be missed by his faithful dog, Lacey.
