While we didn’t speak the same physical language, Abuelita’s love and genuineness always spoke so loudly. Before having children, she would always rub my tummy and tap hers to ask when I would be pregnant. The smile she had brought me peace even though our infertility journey because I could feel her prayers and faith that God would do it. When we finally shared God had gifted us and a baby was on the way, the purity of her joy filled me. The light she was will never burn out. Loved and missed, and living on through every prayer she prayed.
