James A. Wild, 81, life-long resident of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was a graduate of Boonton High School, and served as a Lincoln Park Police Officer from 1964 - 1969. He was also active in the Borough Recreation and PAL, coaching football in the late 1960s and early 70s. Jim was employed as Service Manager for 47 1/2 years at Wayne Transmission Service. He was then a familiar face at Stager's Auto Body. He was passionate about cars and had an uncanny ability to troubleshoot. Jim was a regular Saturday lunch fixture at the Hopper for decades. Jim's life was Lincoln Park and he served its residents as council representative for 30 years; 1991 to present day. Councilman Wild's community involvement includes: Member of the Planning Board, Council Liaison to Office of Emergency Management, Member of the Lincoln Park Day Committee, and served as Council President in 2003. During his tenure he served as Council Liaison to the Fair Housing Committee, the First Aid Squad and the Fire Department. He is a member of the Morris County 200 Club, a member of the Free Mason Lodge 168, and an active supporter of New Bridge Services. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Wild (nee Elwood). Devoted father of James Mannetti and his wife Deena. Dear brother of Larry Wild, Leslie Napoli Wild and the late Ronald Wild. Loving grandfather of Olivia, Daniel, Nicholas, Maria and Tori. Visiting on Wednesday September 8, 2021 from 4-8 pm at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ. Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10am St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Please omit flowers.
